Dangerous blizzard targets New England as frigid cold envelops U.S.

New England residents are bracing themselves for the fourth major snowstorm since mid-January, set to begin Saturday afternoon and culminate in blizzard conditions with hurricane force winds for coastal areas through Sunday

The combination of high winds and frigid temperatures make this storm a life-threatening event, according to the National Weather Service, which is warning of "likely structural damage and widespread power outages" along with around a foot of snow in eastern Massachusetts, including in and around the snowbound city of Boston.
